14th 'Char Yang Cup' Students Xiangqi Championship
So
yars, didn't post for 1 week or so, so I am posting again.
There's nothing much happening this week, the most interesting one is the Char Yang Cup Championships ( something like nationals ).
So to all chess players attending this competition, please take note that :
1- BE FREE ON 17TH (QUALIFYING ROUND), 21ST AND 22ND OF MARCH (FINALS).
2-Report latest by 8.30am at
Jurongville Sec for U14 and U16.
3-Attire is full school uniform.
4-Remember basic rules. For example, 动子走子 and hit the clock after every move.
5-Train regularly after common test.
6-If anything crops up, call 94872979 for help.
For meeting venue and time for qualifying rounds, it will be confirmed later.
This week is rather boring. Sec 4 life is really about studying. If you don't mug, you will just lack behind alot, and wouldn't get a shit on what's the teacher is talking about. However, I think I am focusing on my chess rather than studies this term. I really want to win the nationals, but it seems impossible even to get an 8th with my standard now. Somemore, I am not those kind of muggers, who faces books the whole day long. So I think I will just read through and have a rough idea for all the subjects. Sacrely I get straight As (LOL, AM I DAYDREAMING?). After Common test there will be Road Run. Hope there will be a showdown between 401 and 408, then I will call for an ambulance before the game starts. I will make sure his leg breaks. =D
